Supporting and promoting diversity and inclusion at player and coaching levels
The Black Youth Ice Hockey program is an 18-week ice hockey development program designed to help Black youth develop ice hockey skills to prepare them to transition to minor hockey the following year – building greater diversity and inclusion in the sport. The program is led by community coaches certified under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The program also features an informal junior coaching mentorship initiative that encourages diversity and inclusion in the coaching ranks.
